4 Lipsticks for Valentine's Day

It's time to prep your pout and pick your favourite lipstick for Valentine's Day. Whether you've got a date, or planning a night with the girls, I've picked four luscious lip products from a cherry red, to a nude that won't budge, to ensure you're good to go.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in 'Aria' £16.00

If you like dark hues, Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in 'Aria' is beautiful. The sultry deep raspberry matte liquid lipstick has a slightly moussier texture than GC Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks and is highly pigmented. It's doe-foot applicator sits perfectly on the lips, although I would always apply with a mirror in hand and once it's dried down it doesn't bleed or transfer. And whilst it can be a pain to remove. There's no need to feel self conscious as is holds up well throughout eating and drinking.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour in 'Cherry Pop' £14.95

What would a Valentine's lip edit be without a red? For a pop of colour Clinique 'Cherry Pop' is a true bright and crisp red. Applied directly from the bullet it doesn't drag and feels hydrating and super light on the lips. Admittedly 'Cherry Pop' isn't as long lasting as a liquid lipstick, but surprisingly it does last a good 3-4 hours and leaves behind a nice stain for good measure. However, things can get a little messy if you over apply, so I like to take a tissue and dab away any excess.

KIKO Endless Love Lipstick in 'Soft Marsala' £5.90*

Firstly I must address the playful packaging and love heart bullet that's kinda too cute to wear (see here). But nevertheless, the heart shaped bullet doesn't make this limited edition lipstick from KIKO's new Best Friends Forever Collection difficult to apply. 'Soft Marsala' is a soft muted red with a velvet finish. The lipstick formula is creamy, opaque and wears beautifully without bleeding. And you'll be pleasantly surprised at the price at just £5.90 - KIKO has a friend in me!

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Serenity' £9.50

Red lips aren't the only option for Valentines. So if you're after worry-free wear Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Serenity' is perfect. 'Serenity' is a warm pink with a hint of brown and has a kiss proof formula that wears for hours. The laid-back liquid lipstick is light on the lips and although a little lip prep may be required (like all liquid lipsticks), it's very comfortable on the lips. It's a fail-safe lip choice and a personal favourite of mine.
