Forgotten Makeup Favourites

Forgotten Makeup Favourites
Have you ever had a rummage through your beauty stash and stumbled across a few makeup products and thought 'ooo I used to love that'? Well, with an ever-growing makeup collection it can be easy for makeup products that once graced the top of my vanity to disappear back into storage. So today I'm sharing four forgotten makeup favourites that have been neglected in the last year or so and deserve a little love and attention here on BBA.

Stila "In The Light" Eyeshadow Palette £25.00
Stila's most popular eyeshadow palette "In The Light" used to be my go-to eyeshadow palette. "In The Light" is a cheaper alternative to the likes of Urban Decay's offerings and is by far one of the best all rounder palettes for the price tag. The sturdy minimalist cardboard palette houses ten beautiful cool and warm toned eyeshadows and one retractable full size smudge stick. The palette includes Stila's iconic shade 'Kitten' a warm toned, pinky beige with a metallic finish. It's beautiful. "In The Light" seems a little hard to come by online, but if you're a bargain hunter it can often be found lurking in the messy makeup section at TKMAXX for just £10.00.

NARS Orgasm Blush £23.00
Rewind back to 2-3 years ago, I can guarantee in all photographs taken, I'm wearing a dusting of NARS Orgasm on my cheeks - I loved the stuff. Described as "as peachy pink with shimmer" the premise of NARS Orgasm (if the name hadn't already suggested) is to give your skin a post-glow without having sex. When applied it appears more pink than peach on my skin tone and the gold soft shimmer really brings the glow. It may be more appropriate for evening-wear, but NARS Orgasm is a multiple award winner and for good reason.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter(s) £7.99
Colourful lip products have been on the back burner over the last year whilst the 90's nude lips make a triumphant return. But when Revlon launched their ColorBurst Lip Butters back in 2012, we all went balmy! The bright lip butters are somewhere between a balm and lipstick. They're light, not sticky, hydrating, bright, yet sheer. And at the time of their release I wanted to buy every single shade, so it's safe to say I own a little more than two. But my two favourites include Juicy Papya and Sweet Tart.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow £4.99
Admittedly I have a large eyeshadow palette collection, so very rarely find use for single eyeshadows. Nevertheless, the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadows are a drugstore makeup must have. The creamy smooth, potted cream eyeshadows work well on their own, as a base and eyeliner. Whilst there not really permanent like a tattoo, they do boast some serious staying power (although I can't vouch for 24HR wear!), and don't smudge or fade. Their creamy consistency, however that does mean they can on occasion crease. But they're versatile and most importantly affordable, plus available in some very pretty shades.

Have you had a rummage recently and rediscovered old makeup favourites?
