NARS Sheer Glow Foundation | Full Review

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation | Full Review
In recent weeks I've rediscovered an old beauty favourite; NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. I'm surprised it's taken me so long to reintroduce the luxury offering from NARS back into my foundation line-up. I loved my first and second bottle of NARS Sheer Glow, but my beauty blogging ventures moved me onto other bases. However, in my opinion foundation needs to be the hardest working product in my makeup bag and NARS Sheer Glow gives coverage without caking, instantly evens my skintone and grants a gorgeous glow.

Despite its name, NARS Sheer Glow £31.00 is no glorified tinted moisturiser. The velvety matte beauty base is highly pigmented (you get more bang for your buck as a little goes a long way) offering a medium to buildable coverage. Applied to the skin it instantaneously evens out my skintone and covers almost all imperfections in just one lightweight layer. And whilst it covers, it does so without masking and suffocating my pores, revealing a more polished version of my natural self. Perfect for both day and night, dull, spotty and problem skin and with its SPF and oil free formulation, it's cult status and love amongst brides is no surprise. NARS Sheer Glow has a little slip making it easy to blend. However, I tend to find if I don't finish with a light dusting of powder, my t-zone will become a little oily throughout the day and the product will transfer. Yet having said that, with a little powder I can rely on NARS Sheer Glow when I want my makeup to stay put. Generally speaking it requires no touch-ups and stays looking fresh all day long. And my only criticism is whilst the glass bottle is a beaut, the foundation pump has to be purchased separately.

All in all it's safe to say my love affair has been revived. And if you've got normal to combination skin and you're after a foundation that feels easy, leaves you fresh faced and works hard NARS Sheer Glow is worth splashing the cash on. And with an extensive shade range there's a match for everyone!

Have you tried the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation?

Morphe 35F 'Fall Into Frost' Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

Morphe 35F 'Fall Into Frost' Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches
I'm always coughing up my wages for the latest eyeshadow palette, but Morphe a brand that came to fame with their budget brush line-up, has produced yet another sell-out eyeshadow palette following on from the Morphe 35O, that hasn't left me penniless. Each of the Morphe eyeshadow palettes offers a new array of shades and the Morphe 35F 'Fall Into Frost' Eyeshadow Palette £22.95 has a stellar selection for both the die-hard neutral fan and shimmerholic.

Housed within a large, thin, non-fussy black palette, the Morphe 35F is comprised of 35 shades; 7 all-new matte shades and 28 rich frosty metallic colours. The versatile mixed finish palette has a selection of rustic neutrals, essential mattes and jewel-toned hues to help create countless looks come day or night. The matte shades have been grouped together and separated to the bottom row giving the palette a little more order in comparison to previous Morphe palettes. And it's needless to say the Morphe 35F has a handful of solid eyeshadow dupes, giving the likes of MAC Cosmetics and Makeup Geek a run for their money.

Morphe 35F 'Fall Into Frost' Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

The formulation has blown me away - the swatches speak for themselves! The eyeshadows are even more creamy and pigmented than the Morphe 35O. The metallic shades are deep, rich and intense with a beautiful high shine and chuck on a primer they last pretty well too without creasing. But it's worth keeping in mind a few shades are prone to minimal fall out, especially the top right copper shade which has silver flecks of glitter. The matte shades whilst not as intensely pigmented as the metallic shades, build and blend well, which is ideal if you're yet to master your blending skills. The only shade that disappointed is the matte black. It didn't build well and once blended appeared more grey than black, in short it isn't quite the pitch-perfect pitch black.

All in all, this palette is pretty darn awesome. From the shade range and formulation this palette is proof that you don't have to become bankrupt to own a palette with style and substance. And nobody ever need know you paid a fraction of the price - it can be our little secret...

Sculpt & Glow With Models Own

Sculpt & Glow With Models Own
Models Own the brand renowned for their bright and innovative nail polishes has recently released their first full makeup collection featuring over 500 eye, face and lip products. A little unexpected maybe for the British born nail polish brand, but the new collection is reflective of Model's Own brave and bold attitude with an array of products ranging from fearless palettes and brightly pigmented lip gunks. Today I wanted to share with you just two of Models Own makeup products; their Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter and Sculpt & Glow Contouring Bronzing Powder - two products guaranteed to deliver a glow no matter the forecast this summer.

Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter in Rose Gold £9.99*
If the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector isn't quite within your budget, Models Own Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter will please you immensely. The rose gold liquid highlighter available in four shades can be worn all-over (face, shoulders, legs, collar bone), mixed with your favourite foundation or moisturiser, or can be applied anywhere on your face where the sun naturally hits. The lightweight liquid highlighter does have a subtle scent, but is beautiful, imparting a gorgeous glow without the glitter. This multitasking product from Models Own dispenses through a pump and applies best with a beauty blender or fingers. It for sure gives my high-end liquid illuminators a run for their money.

Sculpt & Glow Contouring Bronzing Powder in Deep Tan (02) £8.99*
Models Own Sculpt & Glow Contouring Bronzing Powder is a bargain buy that isn't laced with glitter. Available in four shades (two matte & two shimmer) and encased in a small white compact, this medium-toned matte bronzing powder is a great all rounder. It has a slight warmth that isn't too orange, making it the perfect high-street product to fake that sun-kissed glow and sculpt your cheekbones due to its matte finish. The powder isn't chalky and is buildable, although I do tend to tap off any excess to avoid looking dirty. But all in all I'm a sucker for the aesthetically pleasing embossed water ripple - who wouldn't be?
