June Beauty Favourites

June Beauty Favourites
It may be a little belated, but hello July. The warm weather is here and I for one am so much happier when summer comes around. Who wouldn’t be? I mean, come July it’s okay to eat ice cream for dinner! Ice cream aside, I recently jetted off to Greece (blog post to follow), finally got my hands on the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette (drool worthy), ran the Nike Women’s 10k London Race (in under an hour) and had a lovely night out with the girls (minus the hangover that followed!). But before I ramble on, let’s get straight to the June beauty favourites...

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser £34.00
The Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser has been the only base product I have worn for the last four weeks. It has featured many a time here on BBA and the more I wear it, the more I love it. The tinted moisturiser covers minor blemishes, has buildable coverage, applies beautifully, has an SPF of 20, is non-comedogenic and leaves my skin looking fresh. You can read my full review here.

Clinique 3-Step Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel With Pump £30.00
Over the past year, I have been a little fickle when it comes to moisturiser. But I always end up returning to an old favourite, the Clinique 3-Step Dramatically Different Moisturing Gel. It is the only moisturiser I have repurchased more than twice and funnily enough, I also own the lotion, which I turn to in colder months. This moisturising gel is unlike any moisturiser I have tried before and leaves my skin feeling instantly hydrated, smoother and healthier in appearance after just one use.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow £49.00
One of my most treasured beauty products has started to show true signs of love and affection. And although hitting pan has been inevitable, I feel a little sad, not only because at some point I will have to grit my teeth and fork out another £49.00 to repurchase this powder duo, it also looks a little worse for wear. Never the less, I have Charlotte Tilbury to thank for helping me fake cheekbones and curb my fear of contouring with two finely milled, super soft, silky powders. You can read my full review with swatches here.

Dr. PAWPAW Original Balm £6.95*
Lip products often accumulate in the bottom of my handbag, but one lip product I have been reaching for over the likes of my Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss In Rockateur (featured in last months favourites) is the Dr. PAWPAW Original Balm. The multipurpose product can be used for sunburn, skin irritations, cracked heels and unruly eyebrows. With nourishing ingredients, a fragrance free formula and a very reasonable price tag, it has quickly become the first product to rival my much-loved Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

Champneys Spa Treatments Skin Comforting Body Butter £10.00
I have found a body care friend in the Champneys Spa range. Unlike other body butters I have tried, this body butter has a gel/butter consistency and its formulation of olive oil, shea, mango and cocoa butters keeps my skin hydrated for over 12 hours. After a shower or bath, I like to apply the light body butter to my legs and arms and it leaves my skin feel nourished and soft. It’s lightly fragranced and doesn’t leave you feeling like a slippery mess. I rate this body butter over the likes of the Body Shop Body Butters and the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body ButterI think I need a spa break... Champneys Spa Hotel anyone?

ALDI Lacura 3 In 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes* 89p
After being a little disappointed with the Simple micellar water, I found myself using the Lacura 3 In 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes from ALDI. Let’s just say, I wasn’t expecting much, but these wipes are comparable to Johnson’s Cleansing Wipes, which cost £3.19! The Lacura facial cleansing wipes are super soft and leave my skin feeling moisturised and clean. They are available in sensitive, normal or vitality for mature skin and can be found online and in store at ALDI. Have you tried any of the products from the ALDI beauty range?

What made it into your monthly favourites line-up?
